"Questions and comments addressed to the RHC Steering board and open to the whole community, concerning the ESH the consensus paper"
Our long-term common objectives are to help physicians, across multiple disciplines, all focused on the resistant hypertensive patient, uncover the answer to “what is the best management and technical strategy for my patient?” and ensure a successful integration of promising new interventional technologies into their armamentarium.
Effective control of blood pressure levels in hypertensive patients is associated with a reduction in cardiovascular mortality and in the incidence of stroke, myocardial infarction and renal events. Yet, despite the use of combinations of antihypertensive drugs, blood pressure control cannot be obtained in a consistent proportion of patients.
In order to provide resistant hypertensive (“RH”) patients with optimal care, a holistic team approach for the decision-making process and appropriate use of these techniques is crucial.
